[Trilinos-Users] tagging the repo

We're about to release our code and it relies on trilinos, specifically the develop branch. Ideally we'd be able to tag the repo where our release was performed so that folks can clone trilinos and checkout that tag and thus use the identical point in the develop branch that we used when we released. I'm not a trilinos developer so I don't have permission to add a tag. Is there a procedure in place for this situation?
