Subject: serial (replicated) AMG V-cycle to extend strong scaling
I have a general question about strong scaling for Trilinos
based solvers employing AMG (MueLu) as the preconditioner
(for example).
Would it be possible or has the Trilinos group explored
a cut-off point in the V-cycle, where the coarser levels
are all duplicated and run in serial on the processor
nodes - to reduce communication and extend strong scaling ?
thanks
Steve
