Ok, I found them. The executables do not wind up in the prefix location but the build location.

Suppose that I have
1. The stuff in the prefix location
2. The source tree

How do I build the test executables?

(I would like to have a script for our users to test an example, based on our official installation, so the build stuff is long gone.)
