Andrew,

There were newer versions of gcc available, and I loaded version 4.7.3. So icpc
-v returns:

icpc version 16.0.2 (gcc version 4.7.3 compatibility)

But I'm still getting the error during compilation:

There is a newer version of gcc/4.9.3 also, but I doubt that would help;
