Hi Trilinos users and developers,

If you only use a released version of Trilinos, then this upgrade will not impact you until the next Trilinos release comes out.

For the rest of you that work with the development version of Trilinos (e.g. in the public clone) then this will impact you.

As announced earlier, we're planning to raise the minimum CMake version required to build Trilinos to 2.8.11. Since most of you are already running on a version later than that, we only have to ask few of you to upgrade to 2.8.11 or later. We would like to ask you to do so by the end of next week,

  Friday, Sep 12.

We are planning to push the new requirement to the TriBITS repository at that date.

Cheers,

-Ross

P.S. Note that for those who can't upgrade CMake to 2.8.11 or newer but need to use the updated version of Trilinos, it is likely that you may be able to use an older version of TriBITS with a newer version of Trilinos. If you find yourself in this situation, please send me an email and I will provide instructions on how to make this work.
