[Trilinos-Users] more on replace global values

dear alan, michael, 

 writing again as the time difference makes comm
slow, and i would like to optimize time. 

having a look at the source here

am i correct saying that the only change is to replace add with insert
(or the option chosen) on line 552? 

 will try it at work tomorrow, but
assuming this is true, how shuld i proceed? patch my version and expect a
future trilinos release or derive a new class? 

have to check if it is
possible to do this outside of the epetra lib, and inside our code.
